"I ordered the rear wheel wider than standard, so that a 200mm tire can be fitted. It was a bit of a gamble, but it fits perfectly with approx. 5mm btw the right tire side and the "protector" covering the belt drive (sorry, don't know the English word for it). So, it can't be wider but fits perfect and the bike looks good with the 200mm wide rear tire. The wheels are lighter than the stock wheels, making the bike more agile and very easy making fast changes of direction. also think I picked the right finish, avoiding some of the "pang" colors that can be ordered. I went for silver (polished aluminum finish) all over and it looks beautiful. The XR1200 is a rare animal in the US with it's 80's European / Japanese inspired design, so wherever I park it amongst other H-D's, there's always bikers coming to look at it and have a talk about it.
