The pressure required on the 'bars is markedly reduced to such an extent that the normal fatigue I feel in the wrists after a hundred miles of touring two-up with luggage did not occur.
The bike has become far more neutral in the turn and will now remain on a constant turning radius with out trying to sit up while braking into the apex.
An added effect is less kick back through the suspension on poor surfaces and a feeling of less vibration while on a coarse surface (I should add this bike runs on modified suspension front and rear so I can not comment for a standard set up) but an improvement has clearly been observed and felt.
One effect I did not expect was improved straight line stability. I was thinking that less gyroscopic effect due to reduced rim weight would perhaps be noticeable, but on my journey to Wales in both directions crossing the wind-blown Severn bridge, for the first time during nearly 3 years riding this bike, I did not experience the effect of the strong side winds pushing the steering while passing the bridge support towers.

*Please Note: Rear wheel bolts. The BST rear wheel requires the shorter BMW 40mm bolts (BMW part no. 36317673903 - 5 required - as used with the BMW One-Piece Alloy Wheels). If your bike has the OE BMW Wire Spoked Wheels with 53mm bolts, they will need to be replaced.
